Bernard Perron is Full Professor of Cinema at the University of Montreal. Among his publications there are: The Video Game Theory Reader 1 (2003, edited with Mark J. P. Wolf), The Video Game Theory Reader 2 (2009, edited with Mark J. P. Wolf), Horror Video Games: Essays on the Fusion of Fear and Play (2009, editor), The Routledge Companion to Video Game Studies (2014, edited with Mark J. P. Wolf). He is also author of Silent Hill: The Terror Engine (2012).
